The Courthouse (Philipsburg)

A white timber courthouse with green shutters and a little cupola, standing on Wathey Square since 1793 and still serving as a working government building. Over the centuries it has been a council hall, weigh station, jail and post office, and it remains the most photographed landmark in the capital. Visitors admire it from the square outside, right at the point where the cruise-tender pier meets Front Street.
