The capital's twin promenades: a palm-shaded boardwalk curving along Great Bay Beach, and one street inland the brightly painted shops of historic Front Street. Between them sit duty-free jewellers, cafes, guavaberry liqueur shops and pastel colonial-style buildings, all walkable from the cruise pier. It is the natural first stop for anyone getting to know the Dutch side's town life.
