Sun Bay Beach (Balneario Sun Bay)

A sweeping two-mile crescent of pale sand and clear water just outside Esperanza on the island of Vieques. As the island's public balneario it has a lifeguarded swimming area, bathrooms, showers and a snack bar, which makes it the easiest Vieques beach for a day trip. Wild horses often graze along the grassy fringe behind the sand, and a simple camping area sits under the trees.
