Faro Los Morrillos (Cabo Rojo Lighthouse)
Things to do · Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico
An 1882 Spanish-era lighthouse standing on 200-foot limestone cliffs at Puerto Rico's dramatic southwestern corner. The reward here is the setting: sheer sea cliffs, natural arches, salt flats tinged pink in the distance, and the crescent of La Playuela beach curling below. Visitors walk in along a paved track from the gate to roam the headland around the tower; the lighthouse interior itself is closed, and there are no guardrails at the cliff edges, so care is needed with children.
