Answers about finding places, planning a trip, booking requests, your account and running a business on Averko.
How do I find a place?
Type what you need in the search box at the top, such as “fish fry” or “pharmacy in Speightstown”, or open Explore to browse by kind of place and area. You can also tap Ask and say it in your own words.
How do I save a place?
Open the place and tap Save (on some business pages it is under More actions). Saving needs a free account, so your list is there on every device; if you are not signed in, Averko asks you to sign in and brings you back to finish. Everything you save is under Saved, where you can sort places into collections.
How do I plan a trip?
Open Plan and describe the trip in a sentence, for example “3 days, beaches and good food, two of us”. Averko builds a day-by-day plan from places it has checked, and you can change any day and add your own stops. To start from empty days instead, choose Build it myself. Sign in to keep the plan and share a private link with the people you travel with.
How do I contact a business or ask to book?
On the business’s page, use Call or WhatsApp, or the button that sends an enquiry or a booking request. The business gets it straight away and replies to the email or phone number you leave, not through Averko. Your details are kept for 90 days, then deleted. If you are signed in, your booking requests are also listed under Your bookings.
Do I need an account?
No. You can search, read every page and contact businesses without one. A free account keeps the places you save and the trips you plan on every device. Choose Sign in at the top, then use your email or your Google account.
Why am I asked to sign out of another browser?
An account can be signed in on a set number of browsers at once, and each browser counts on its own, even on the same computer. When you reach the limit, Averko asks which one to sign out. A browser you have not used for 30 days is signed out by itself. You can see them all, and sign any of them out, under Profile & preferences.
I run a business that is listed. How do I take over its page?
Open its page and choose “Own this place?” or Claim this listing. Sign in, say who you are and add a link or a document that shows you run it. A person checks every claim, and you get the answer in Business Studio and by email. A business page is free. If your business is not on Averko yet, choose List your business, free at the foot of any page.
Something on a page is wrong. How do I tell you?
On the place’s page, choose Report an issue (on some business pages it is under More actions) for wrong hours, a move or a closure. To add a place that is missing, use Suggest a place at the top. A person checks every report before anything changes, so a fix can take a little time to appear.
Can I use Averko in my language?
Yes: English, French, Spanish and Dutch. Open Display settings at the top (the button with sliders) and choose your language. Place names and what businesses write stay in the words they used.
