What Averko collects, why, how long it keeps it, and how to see or delete your data.

What Averko collects

Your account carries an email address, an optional display name and avatar, and a preferred language. Content you contribute — reviews, photos, suggestions, corrections — is stored with your account. When you send an enquiry or booking request to a business you provide a name and a contact detail for that business, with your explicit consent on the form. If a business sends you a quote or an invoice, that document carries the name it addressed to you; if you send a file back with an invoice, we store that file. Technical logs carry request identifiers, not browsing profiles. To see how the site is used, Averko counts pages opened, the kind of site a visit came from, the kind of device, the country, buttons pressed and words searched for, as daily totals with nobody in them; a search word is shown even to our own team only once five or more searches used it. When something breaks in your browser, the error is reported with addresses, links and numbers removed.

How information is used

Information is used to run the features you invoke: your enquiry goes to the business you chose and nowhere else; emails are sent when something you asked about changes, and notification preferences let you switch categories off. Business analytics show bounded-window aggregate totals without identities; small daily counts and rates based on small samples are withheld, and no visitor-level profile or journey history exists. The assistant and trip planner answer from the published catalogue.

Location

Averko never tracks your location in the background. Where a feature uses a location — showing places near a point, or a business pinning itself on the map — the position is the one you provide, and account location preferences accept a manually chosen coarse area instead of a precise point.

Cookies and local storage

Averko keeps your session token and interface preferences in your browser's local storage. There are no third-party advertising cookies and no cross-site trackers; sponsored placements are chosen from context, such as the country page you are viewing, not from a profile of you.

Invalid-traffic and abuse prevention

To stop advertisers paying for fake clicks, and to keep the service safe from abuse, Averko computes a salted hash of the IP address and browser signature attached to ad views and clicks; the salt rotates daily, and the hash — never the address itself — is what is kept. It is used only to cap and flag invalid traffic and abuse, is never joined to your account, and is never used to choose what anyone sees. These hashes are deleted within thirty days.

Sharing

A business receives exactly what you submit to it on a consent-labelled form. Averko takes no payment between you and a business. When a business pays Averko for a plan, ads or a promotion, the payment goes directly to the payment processor — Paddle, WiPay or Stripe — and the card number never touches Averko's servers. A file you send back with an invoice is readable only by the business that sent it. Our hosting, storage, malware-scanning and email delivery providers process data on our instructions. Nothing is sold to anyone, ever.

Files you send with an invoice

An invoice sent to you through Averko can take a file back — the receipt your bank gave you, or a picture of the transfer — so the business can see you have paid. A file like that often carries an account number or a name, so it is handled narrowly. It is checked for malware before it is kept and refused if that check cannot be completed. It is stored privately and is never published, linked from a public address, or used to choose what anyone sees; nobody reads it except the business that sent you the invoice, which opens it through its own signed-in session. We do not look inside it beyond the malware check. Sending a file settles nothing and the business records the payment itself. The file then stays with that invoice as part of the business’s own records and is not deleted on a schedule; if you want one removed, ask the business, and use Help & feedback if you cannot reach them.

Retention and deletion

Consented enquiries and booking requests are retained by the receiving business inside Averko for up to ninety days and then removed on schedule. Content you published stays until you or moderation removes it. Deleting your account removes your private data on a stated schedule shown at the point of deletion.

Your rights

From your account settings you can export the data Averko holds about you, correct your details, manage notification and location preferences, and delete your account. These controls are self-serve and do not require writing to support — though you can always ask for help through Help & feedback.
