East End Pond Conservation Area
Parks & Nature · East End, Anguilla
A shallow, partly spring-fed salt pond of about thirteen acres in East End Village, and Anguilla's only protected salt pond. Lookout points around the shore make it an easy, rewarding birdwatching stop, with herons, egrets and ospreys among the regulars and the Zenaida dove, Anguilla's national bird, often seen in the surrounding buttonwood. The Anguilla National Trust cares for the site and includes it on its heritage tours.
