Maho Bay Beach
Beach · St. John (St. Thomas–St. John District), United States Virgin Islands
A narrow, palm-lined beach right off North Shore Road inside Virgin Islands National Park, famous for the green sea turtles that graze the seagrass beds a short swim from shore. The water is shallow and calm, so it suits confident young snorkellers as well as adults. Early morning and late afternoon are the best times to float quietly above the turtles.
