Cruzan Rum Distillery

A working rum distillery on St. Croix with roots going back to 1760, run for generations by the Nelthropp family. Guided tours walk visitors through the molasses-to-barrel process past fermentation tanks and aging warehouses, ending with a tasting at the bar in the renovated visitor center. It is one of the Caribbean's most storied rum houses and an easy half-day outing from Frederiksted or Christiansted.
