White Bay
Beach · Jost Van Dyke, British Virgin Islands
A crescent of powdery white sand on Jost Van Dyke's south shore, sheltered by a reef that keeps the turquoise shallows calm and swimmable. Day-trippers arrive by boat from Tortola and the neighbouring islands, often wading ashore to the row of laid-back beach bars behind the sand. It is the island's most celebrated beach and an easy place to lose a whole afternoon.
