Sage Mountain National Park
Parks & Nature · Tortola, British Virgin Islands
The British Virgin Islands' flagship national park covers the misty upper slopes of Mount Sage, at about 520 metres the highest point in the territory. Walking trails wind through lush forest of ferns, mahogany trees and elephant-ear plants that recall the rainforest which once cloaked the island. Clearings along the way open onto sweeping views over Tortola's coastline and the surrounding island chain.
