Gorda Peak National Park
Parks & Nature · Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands
This 260-acre park protects one of the last remaining stands of Caribbean dry forest, rising to Virgin Gorda's highest point at about 1,370 feet. Two marked trails climb through the trees to a small summit lookout with views across the North Sound and the whole necklace of surrounding islands. Along the way, sharp-eyed walkers may spot orchids, hummingbirds and tiny geckos.
