Copper Mine National Park
Things to do · Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands
On a breezy headland at Virgin Gorda's southeastern point stand the stone ruins of a 19th-century copper mine, including the engine house, chimney and cistern built by Cornish miners in the 1800s. The site became a national park in 2003, and its dramatic perch above the crashing Atlantic makes it a favourite photo stop. It is a short drive from Spanish Town and pairs easily with a visit to The Baths.
