Callwood Rum Distillery
Things to do · Tortola, British Virgin Islands
In a weathered stone building at Cane Garden Bay, the Callwood family still makes rum the traditional way: the original boiler is fired to distil cane spirit, which then rests in old wooden casks. Visitors can wander the rustic works, hear the story of one of the Caribbean's longest-running distilleries, and taste or buy a bottle at the small shop. It is one of Tortola's most atmospheric slices of living history.
