A cluster of five uninhabited cays sheltered behind Horseshoe Reef, protected as Saint Vincent and the Grenadines' flagship marine park since 1997. Snorkellers swim with green turtles in the seagrass around Baradal, and the shallow turquoise lagoon is a bucket-list anchorage for sailors across the Caribbean. Rangers patrol the park, which is administered from Clifton on Union Island, and local boat operators run day trips from Union Island, Mayreau and Bequia.
