A vast circular green at the heart of Port of Spain, ringed by a roughly 3.5 km perimeter that joggers and coconut-water vendors share every evening. Along its western edge stand the Magnificent Seven, an eccentric row of early-1900s mansions including Stollmeyer's Castle and Whitehall. During Carnival season the Savannah becomes the stage for the country's biggest masquerade and steelpan competitions.
