Fort King George & Tobago Museum
Things to do · Tobago, Trinidad and Tobago
The best-preserved of Tobago's colonial forts crowns the hill above Scarborough, its 1780s ramparts, cannons and lighthouse looking far along the Atlantic coast. The former barrack guardhouse holds the Tobago Museum, with Amerindian artefacts, colonial documents and military relics that trace the island's frequently contested history. Mature trees and lawns make the grounds a pleasant place to linger.
