Long Bay Beach

Beach · Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands

A long, shallow beach on the southeast side of Providenciales where the water stays waist-deep far from shore. Steady trade winds have made it the island's kiteboarding hub, and on breezy days dozens of colourful kites fill the sky. The firm, fine sand and knee-deep flats also make it a favourite for wading, horseback rides, and photos of the famous shipwreck-blue shallows.
