Cheshire Hall Plantation
Things to do · Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands
The ruins of a late-1700s Loyalist cotton plantation on Leeward Highway near downtown Providenciales, preserved by the Turks and Caicos National Trust. Guided walks lead past about fifteen points of interest, including the stone shell of the Great House, cotton press bases and a replica dwelling, telling the story of the enslaved people and planters who worked this dry land. A visit takes around an hour and is one of the few historic sites on Providenciales.
