Woodlands Beach
Beach · Saint Peter Parish, Montserrat
A long, quiet stretch of dark volcanic sand on the west coast, backed by cliffs and reached down a short access road. A nearshore reef gives good swimming and snorkelling, though currents can pick up, and sea turtles come ashore to nest between May and December. Barbecue grills and a picnic spot overlook the bay, and the beach house above it can be hired through the Montserrat National Trust.
