Île Tintamarre
Parks & Nature · Saint Martin, Saint Martin
An uninhabited island about three kilometres off Saint Martin's north-east tip, protected within the national nature reserve. Day boats visit its long sandy beach and the clear water around it, and traces of an old cotton estate and a tiny 1940s airstrip hint at a surprisingly busy past. Today it belongs to nesting seabirds, sea turtles and iguanas.
