Baie Rouge
Beach · Saint Martin, Saint Martin
A wide, largely undeveloped beach in the Terres Basses lowlands, named for the reddish tint of its sand. It stays quieter than the east-coast beaches, with dramatic surf some days, and walkers seek out Trou David (David's Hole), a natural swim-through rock formation in the cliffs at its eastern end. Bring what you need, as facilities are minimal.
