Gros Piton Nature Trail

The guided hike up the taller of Saint Lucia's two volcanic spires, which rises 798 metres almost straight from the sea inside the UNESCO-listed Pitons Management Area. Certified local guides from the village of Fond Gens Libre lead the roughly four-to-six-hour round trip, which needs no climbing gear but rewards a steady pace. From the summit the view runs along the whole southwest coast and, on clear days, out to neighbouring islands.
