Saint Lucia's principal Catholic church, completed in 1897 on a site of worship dating to 1767, and among the largest churches in the Caribbean. The airy interior glows with murals by celebrated Saint Lucian artist Dunstan St. Omer, weaving island imagery into sacred scenes. Still an active cathedral, it faces Derek Walcott Square in the heart of Castries and welcomes respectful visitors outside service times.
