Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park
Things to do · St Kitts, Saint Kitts and Nevis
A 17th- and 18th-century British fortress built of dark volcanic stone, crowning a steep hill nearly 800 feet above the Caribbean coast of St Kitts. Visitors climb ramps and steps to the Fort George Citadel and its museum, then walk the ramparts for wide views across the sea to neighbouring islands. It has been a national park since 1987 and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999.
