Pinney's Beach

Beaches for swimming and seaside days in Saint Kitts and Nevis

Find calm swimming, beach bars and long sandy shores at four beaches across St Kitts and Nevis.

These four beaches offer different ways to spend time by the sea, from sheltered bays with shallow water to a long stretch of sand for swimming and walks. Beach bars and nearby resorts add places to relax along the shore.

  1. Cockleshell Beach

    Beach, Saint George Basseterre

Cockleshell Beach curves around the Southeast Peninsula, with usually calm, shallow water and views across The Narrows to Nevis Peak. Relaxed beach bars serve grilled food along the shore.

  2. Oualie Beach

    Beach, Saint James Windward

Oualie Beach is a sheltered bay with unusually calm, shallow water, suited to families and beginner watersports. A dive centre and low-key resort sit on the sand, with sunset views across the channel to St Kitts.

  3. Pinney's Beach

    Beach, Saint Thomas Lowland

Pinney's Beach stretches for roughly three miles along Nevis's calm Caribbean coast. Its soft golden sand, gentle swimming and beach bars make it a place for both a swim and a long walk.

  4. South Frigate Bay Beach

    Beach, Saint George Basseterre

South Frigate Bay Beach has golden sand and gentle water on St Kitts's Caribbean side. Beach bars and restaurants known as The Strip line the shore.
