Boston Jerk Centre (Boston Bay)

A cluster of open-air jerk pits at Boston Bay, the Portland district celebrated as the home of jerk cooking. Pork, chicken and fish smoke slowly over pimento wood at side-by-side stalls, served with festival and roasted breadfruit a few steps from a small surf beach. It remains a beloved roadside food stop on the drive along Jamaica's east coast.
