Blue and John Crow Mountains National Park

Parks & Nature · Saint Andrew and Saint Mary, Jamaica

Jamaica's only UNESCO World Heritage Site protects the island's highest mountains, misty cloud forest and the heritage of the Windward Maroons. Hikers come for the pre-dawn trek to Blue Mountain Peak and for gentler nature walks at Holywell, where cool air, birdsong and coffee farms replace the coastal heat. The park shelters rare wildlife such as the giant swallowtail butterfly and the Jamaican boa.
