Île-à-Rat (Amiga Island)

Beach · Île-à-Rat islet, Haiti

A tiny coral islet in the Baie de l'Acul ringed by powdery white sand and turquoise shallows that are ideal for snorkelling. Local boats bring day-trippers over from Labadie and Cap-Haïtien to picnic on grilled seafood and doze under the coconut palms. The island is small enough to stroll around in minutes, which is a large part of its charm.
