Demerara Rum Heritage Centre (El Dorado Rum, Diamond Distillery)

At Plantation Diamond on the East Bank of the Demerara River, Demerara Distillers keeps more than three centuries of rum-making alive, including wooden heritage stills found nowhere else in the world. The purpose-built heritage centre walks visitors through that story with archives, machinery and models before a tasting of the El Dorado range. It is the home of Guyana's most famous export after gold and sugar.
