Plage de la Caravelle

Just west of Sainte-Anne's town centre, La Caravelle is the postcard Grande-Terre beach: white sand shaded by sea-grape and coconut trees, with a reef-sheltered lagoon of shallow turquoise water. The calm, waist-deep swimming makes it a favourite with families, and walkers can follow the sand around the point toward the town beach. Part of the bay backs onto a resort, but the beach itself is open to everyone.
