Distillerie Poisson – Rhum du Père Labat

A small, proudly old-fashioned distillery on the coast road between Grand-Bourg and Saint-Louis on Marie-Galante, producing the celebrated Père Labat agricole rum since the early 20th century. In harvest season visitors watch vintage machinery crush cane and the still at work, then taste at the simple roadside shop. It is a fixture of the island rum-makers' circuit alongside Bielle and Bellevue.
