Housed in one of the oldest buildings in St. George's — French barracks dating to the early 1700s that later served several civic roles — the national museum reopened in January 2024 for Grenada's 50th anniversary of independence. Its refreshed, story-driven exhibits trace the islands from Amerindian settlement through the colonial era to nationhood. It makes a compact, walkable stop in the heart of the capital.
