Hodelpa Nicolás de Ovando
Accommodation · Distrito Nacional, Dominican Republic
A boutique hotel built into the restored residence of Nicolás de Ovando, the royal governor who laid out colonial Santo Domingo on its present site, on the historic Calle de las Damas. Thick stone walls, interior courtyards and a pool look out over the Ozama River, steps from the Colonial City's main sights. It is one of the oldest buildings in the Americas where guests can actually spend the night.
