At Dominica's southwestern tip, a narrow pebble isthmus connects the fishing village of Scotts Head to a rising headland — a tombolo the Kalinago knew as Cachacrou. A short climb rewards you with a view of the Atlantic crashing on one side while the calm Caribbean laps the other. The bay below forms part of the Soufriere Scotts Head Marine Reserve, one of the island's favourite snorkelling and diving spots.
