Mikvé Israel-Emanuel Synagogue
Things to do · Curaçao, Curacao
Consecrated in 1732, this is the oldest synagogue in continuous use in the Americas, serving a congregation founded in 1651. Its sand-covered floor, mahogany furnishings and brass chandeliers make the interior unforgettable, and the attached Jewish Historical Cultural Museum displays centuries of community heritage. Weekday visitors are welcome, and services are still held every week.
