Hato Caves

A limestone show cave near the airport, carved from ancient coral reef and open to the public since 1991. Hourly guided tours lead past stalactites, stalagmites, a quiet underground pool and a resident colony of bats, while guides point out fancifully named formations along the route. Petroglyphs left by the island's earliest inhabitants add an archaeological layer to the visit.
