A cool, forested nature reserve high in the Escambray mountains above Trinidad, threaded with waymarked trails through coffee plantations and cloud forest. The classic hike descends to Salto del Caburní, a tall waterfall spilling into natural swimming pools. Pines, tree ferns and hummingbirds make it a refreshing counterpoint to the coast.
