Fusterlandia
Things to do · main island of Cuba, Cuba
The fishing village of Jaimanitas on Havana's western edge, transformed by artist José Fuster into a sprawling public artwork of mosaic-covered houses, arches and rooftops. What began at his own studio in 1975 spread across dozens of neighbours' homes, drawing comparisons to Gaudí's Barcelona. Visitors stroll the tiled lanes and can step into the artist's studio complex at its heart.
