The fortress that has guarded the mouth of Havana's harbour since the late 16th century, its lighthouse one of the city's most recognisable silhouettes. Inside are museum rooms, ramparts with sweeping views back across the bay to the Malecón, and rows of historic cannon. It pairs naturally with the neighbouring La Cabaña fortress and its evening cannon-firing ceremony.
