Marie Sharp's Factory

The home of Belize's most famous export after the reef: Marie Sharp's habanero hot sauces, cooked from local peppers and carrots at this family factory at 1 Melinda Road in Hope Creek, near Dangriga, since the 1980s. Visitors can stop in for a guided tasting of dozens of sauces, jams and chutneys at the factory shop, and the sauces sit on practically every restaurant table in the country.
