Founded in 1974 as a takeout burger stand under a flamboyant tree, Elvi's Kitchen on Pescador Drive has grown into San Pedro's most storied restaurant, still run by the founding Staines family with a sand floor underfoot. The menu leans into Belizean and Maya flavours, from conch fritters to fish in mojo de ajo, and the dining room fills with locals and visitors from lunch through dinner, Monday to Saturday.
