Pink Sands Beach

Beach · Harbour Island, Bahamas

A three-mile beach on Harbour Island's Atlantic side whose sand carries a soft rosy blush, created by tiny red-shelled marine organisms mixed into the white grains. The colour shows best at the waterline in early morning or late afternoon light. An offshore reef keeps the water unusually calm for an ocean-facing beach, and most visitors arrive by golf cart from Dunmore Town a few minutes away.
