Pig Beach (Big Major Cay)

The beach on uninhabited Big Major Cay in the Exuma Cays where a colony of feral pigs famously paddles out to greet arriving boats. It can only be reached by water — most visitors come on day excursions from Nassau, Great Exuma or neighbouring Staniel Cay, usually combined with stops for iguanas, nurse sharks and sandbars. One of the most photographed animal encounters in the Caribbean.
