Gold Rock Beach

The reward at the end of Lucayan National Park's mangrove boardwalk: a wide, usually near-empty beach backed by dunes and pine forest about forty minutes east of Freeport. At low tide the sea pulls back to expose long rippled sandbars you can walk far out onto. It is one of Grand Bahama's most photographed shores yet rarely feels busy.
