Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park
Parks & Nature · Exuma, Bahamas
A 176-square-mile marine reserve in the northern Exuma Cays, created in 1958 as the first land-and-sea park of its kind anywhere. Because it is a strict no-take zone, the reefs and fish life are noticeably richer than outside its boundaries; visitors arrive by boat to snorkel, dive, walk cay trails and meet the endangered rock iguanas. Park headquarters sits at Warderick Wells, where moorings are first-come, first-served.
