Arawak Cay Fish Fry

A village of brightly painted seafood restaurants and cook shacks on Arawak Cay, just west of downtown Nassau, known to everyone simply as the Fish Fry. Vendors chop conch salad to order and turn out cracked conch, fried snapper and conch fritters, with long-running spots like Goldie's Conch House anchoring the row. It is liveliest in the evenings and on Sundays, when locals bring visitors here to eat like Bahamians.
