Washington Slagbaai National Park

This national park covers Bonaire's rugged northwest quarter with cactus-studded hills, salt lakes where flamingos feed, and hidden swimming and snorkelling coves. Visitors follow signposted driving loops through the old Washington and Slagbaai plantations, hike up Brandaris — the island's highest point — and spot parrots, iguanas and wild donkeys along the way. A small visitor centre and museum stand at the entrance near Rincon.
