1000 Steps Beach

A limestone staircase — 67 steps, though divers joke it feels like a thousand on the way back up — descends the cliff to this small cove on Bonaire's northwest shore. The coral reef begins just metres from the waterline, and it is one of the island's most loved shore snorkelling and diving spots, with sea turtles a frequent sight. The cove itself is a quiet strip of coral sand backed by cliffs.
