Shell Beach (Plage de Grand Galet)

A small cove a short stroll from the centre of Gustavia, carpeted not with sand but with millions of tiny seashells washed in by the currents. Rocky headlands frame calm, swimmable water, and families come to hunt for shells and stay for the sunset, which drops straight into the sea here. Because it sits at the edge of town, it is the easiest beach on the island to reach on foot.
